... to be that most of the rode were paved and hardly any hills. We walked around town and windowed shopped. The buildings are very neatly decorated and even the under side of the eves are painted. We then found a open crepe store and had our early dinner! I had dulce de licha crepe and kimmie got a egg and cheese crepe. Very yummy! We settled in for the evening and got ready for our last day of riding. Can't believe it has gone by so fast! But I am ready to go home ...

... packed the first train up (so we had to wait for a second one at our connection half way up the mountain where it was freezing. Not racist...just annoyed.

After a few hours on the “Top of Europe”, it was time to return down the mountain. The return train ride was even more beautiful than the ride up. Since the sun had come out and most of the 2 cloud layers had vanished, we had clear views of the Alps. The views are indescribable ...

We didn't have any major plans for our stay in Lucerne so we took it as it came. We had breakfast at the hotel, probably not the best spread but they did have croissants and hazelnut spread so made up for it. We headed to the supermarket to get some supplies. Lucerne is rather expensive when it comes to meals. And naturally we also stocked up on Swiss chocolate and grabbed some Swiss beer for $1.50! Changing into our cooler weather gear we headed to the bus stop to catch the bus to ...

... off to catch the gondola. The gondola ride takes you back down to the bottom of the mountain but you end up in a different town to where the train takes you. It was weird going down in the gondola as the clouds got closer and closer and then everything was white. The boat ride back to Luzern was just as misty as the one coming over so we couldn't see much. You wouldn't know down in the town that the weather was so much better up the ...

So our last day in Luzern was rainy and cold. We pretty much wandered the city on their excellent bus system, getting on and off wherever the spirit moved us. No lake tour as it was too yucky out. Anyway, we went to a museum devoted to Picasso and Paul Klee. The story is that this former art dealer family Rosengart had a huge collection of all these masterpieces and studies because they were friends, as well as ...
