From there we went south west on 140 to Mariposa and Merced. Then up 99 to 12 to get to Sonoma valley.     ... around town - martinis were $14 and a glass of wine was $10 - but still worth it, considering the view!
    Cable car ride again - this time….back to Fisherman’s Wharf and back to the hotel. Ahhhhh, what a day! Neither one of us was really hungry for a big dinner meal….so we just had something light. We joked about having Ben & Jerry’s again, but we showed restraint! Maybe tomorrow! Haha.

    ... first to the Buena Vista Winery which is the oldest winery. It was first owned by a Count from Germany in the 1800's and now by a Frenchman who bought the winery in 2000. The buildings are stone and gorgeous. We tasted 5 wines here and enjoyed the grounds.
