      Great day for a Glacier Cruise

      ... and interesting conversations along with exciting scenery!
      We left Whittier after the cruise and camped at Wiiliwaw CG. A beautiful and magnificent location! We came here on the recommendation of Linda and Roger, who we meet when camping in Sarah Palin's backyard (Wassilla). Linda and Roger also recommend we go to the Begich Bogg Visitor center.

      ... the area. Fox Farming almost caused some birds to become extinct on the islands. Went to the Bear Creek Winery for tasting and purchase. Drove back to Soldotna and camped in Centennial Park.

      ... eagles and a seal. Mike and Sherry had less fish but saw a lot more bears than we did. Before we left, our guides filleted our fish for us and we dropped off our fish off for processing and shipping home.

      Talking about our day over a late dinner (10pm!!), it seems that our boat guide Ben was much better than Mike & Sherry's guide.

      ... flew out on a different plane than the one we flew in on. After arrival at the dock, the fish was distributed and we took it to a processing operation where it will be packaged and ready for shipment home. I started a 'fish box,' to which I will add the catch from the next two days.

      We had dinner (early), as we have to roll out an hour and a half earlier in the morning!

      ... there and she wasn't disturbed by that. He also said he'd seen a male grizzly too. We decided we definitely wouldn't go down by the river. It was about a 5 mile round trip. Cassie couldn't get enough of the exploration. She's wonder dog.
