... only February. Alas we had to get going because the town made famous by Ron Burgundy and Steve Ryan's impressions of him was calling.
Ricardo had wanted to party it up in San Diego on the Saturday night, and who was I to argue. Any chance to visit a new city with some friends sounds good to me, and I'd heard only great things about SD. It was another great night out, and thankfully I didn't have to make the drive back up North, as a couple of hours ...
... room. He informed us that we were guaranteed an inside state room but could be upgraded to another room if there were any available at time of cruise. Well, it turns out we were bumped up to an outside stateroom with a port window on the fourth floor.
At first, we were worried about being on the fourth floor (thought it would be really rough). Anyways, as we were to learn, the fourth floor was not bad at ...
... followed our boat and some bright orange Geribaldi swam by as well. We also saw the second fastest growing kelp/seaweed--it grows an inch every hour!
Back on shore I met the lifeboat taking passengers over to our ship and jumped on to get back to work the night shift. While in the lifeboat, we all saw a seal riding the waves next to us!
I even got to call Mike before heading up to the youth center.

I really am not the dressing up kind. But it is part of a cruise that there are some formal nights. If you don't want to take part....then stay in your room or go to the pool area! Don't sneer at those who want to be part of it.
