... void left by the tourists, Patong was hosting a big motorcycle convention. The shopping centre now filled with all these shiny new motorbikes. I also stumble across the Miss Phucket Beauty pageant. Girls walking up & down the catwalk in skimpy little outfits. Wandered back to the hotel and organised a taxi to take me to the airport, 200 baht, $8 aud. Had a clear run to the airport. Jetstar checkin left ...

These are supposed to be the best diving in the world (Yes, along with about 2000 other places) and incredible scenery. ... a secluded lil beach with no one on it and made this our little home for a few days. It had a couple of quiet beach huts that served cold beer and the food was delicious. This is on the east side of Rawai below Nai Han. If you venture over the other side it gets busy, theres street markets where we bought a big red snapper and some huge tiger prawns for around $40. The restaurant across the road will then cook it for you for about $7. All in all a untouched beautiful part of Phuket. ...

... looked like it was encased in a 10cm black water pipe and they had a sign saying. 'Live Power Lines'. The back streets are narrow and the houses abut each other right to the roadside and every house seemed to have an open-air stall selling something. Scooters are everywhere and pick-up trucks are crammed full of construction workers all wearing blue or red uniforms. Once again David was in a fit of laughter. Every vehicle ...
