We moved from Sukhumavit, Soi 57 way up the lane to soi 4 in the area of Nana Plaza. We choose Nana Plaza just because of it's proximity to the sky train...

Flying from LAX to Bangkok direct flight via Thai Airways was a very loooong flight... approx 17hrs. I was seated next to a girl named Pa that is from Bangkok and currently living in Los Angeles attending school to learn English. Communicating was a bit challenging yet fun. We immediately hit it off and by the end of the flight I was going home with her to spend the day with her and her family. Total kismet! I had no idea where they lived. Driving I was in awe at the types of businesses along...
Bangkok, Thailand mdhBack in Bangkok, we took a thai cooking class where we shopped for our ingredients in a local market and learned to make green curry from scratch in addition to a cracking Pad Thai among many others dishes. We really enjoyed the energy and entertainment of a Thai Kickboxing match in Lumphini Stadium; whizzed around on the futuristic BTS Skytrain to all the best shopping districts; did some sightseeing when we included a trip to the house of ex-cia secret agent Jim Thompson, took a final spin ...

... There's an ice cream place called Swensen's that beats anything I've had in America. The ice cream was enormous, as you can see in the pictures. There was a band playing outside and my host uncle just asked the singer if Casey could do a song, so she did and she has a great voice.. better than the singer of the band.
On the 5th we went to Safari World. You drive through it and the animals can come right up to your car. It was mostly all the animals you'd see ...

The result is that now, I pass by that restaurant nearly every day (as it is very near to my home) and I am pleased to report that it is almost always empty ...

... in front of me, so he came back often to check on her. The photographer next to me interviewed me about my flying experiences in Thailand. I had flown about 5 different airlines in SE Asia, so I feel I was able to give him a pretty accurate account of my feeling for this airline. He told me a little about the airline and the place we were flying in. It was a used jet from the US.
