    We made a lot of effort this morning to get out and on the road early on a mission to visit a few cute towns and end the day at the butterfly gardens. We did none of that. What we did end up doing was to take a wrong turn which gave us the opportunity to visit the fisherman's wharf of Victoria, a quirky jumble of houseboats and whale watching tour operators.

    ... Tudor, it’s a strange mix but they are all very nice! From here we walked down to clover point looking over the Pacific ocean. It turned out to be a glorious day of sunshine for the official first day of summer, although a little cool, and the ocean was calm painting a gorgeous coastal picture! The path from clover point hugged the coast until we reached Beacon Hill park where we headed back inland towards downtown Victoria!
