Today we went to the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse built in 1887. Surrounding the lighthouse are the original keepers' dwellings with historical artifacts. ( a lot of the tools there reminded me of my Dad) We climbed 203 steps to almost the top of 165 ft Lighthouse and got to walk around the top balcony. I surprised David with a custom road trip shirt for the trip. We left home at 6:30...Shawna and the grandkids were on hand to say goodbye and take pics of us as we left. we started heading south from jacksonville on25th . Briji's toefl is on sat. So we decided that we will stay in daytona till she prepares for few days, before heading down south.
