North Conway - Dartmouth - Woodstock - Ludlow

... Vermont and visited Woodstock a very neat town with heaps of beautiful old buildings. We also visited Billings Farm and Museum, a living museum of Vermont's rural past as well as a working dairy farm.

We then set out for Ludlow and got caught in a storm for a while. It was very windy and the rain came in sheets. Mike did well to keep the coach on the road.

We stayed at the Jackson Gore Hotel, a ski resort for the Okema ski field. Very nice hotel.

These bridges reminded us so much of the Bridges of Madison County. So much so I was waiting for Clint Eastwood to come and sweep me off my feet!

On the way back to Niskayuna, we called into a shop that Cath had always driven passed and ...

... farmhouse built in 1809 and run by our delightful hostess, Donna.

Our first full day here began with a wonderful breakfast, provided by Donna, of fruit, fruit juice, bacon and as many pancakes and maple syrup as we could eat.

With full bellies we headed out with John and Penelope for a guided tour of the area starting with the farm. The farmhouse has the biggest fireplace I have ever seen looking like it is built out of some sort of boiler.
