Pouring rain to start our day, much to our disgust, & it was cold! The clouds cleared mid morning and we headed to The Pinnacles. It was amazing and far exceeded our expectations. I stopped for lunch with only 18km to go and it took all the self discipline I could muster to hop back on the bike, I really wanted to hop in the passenger seat of the van,but I guess quitting is not in my nature because I got back on the bike and was rewarded with a fantastic 6km downhill run into Lancelin. Draußen war es noch stockfinstere Nacht, aber wir sprangen in unsere Sachen, Kira fragte verschlafen „Fahren wir los?" und ab ging es auf die Straße zum Nambung NP. Auf der Hinfahrt zeigte sich der erste Lichtstreifen am Horizont. Ziel war die Pinnacles Desert, die in der Morgendämmerung besonders schön sein sollte.
