    ... cookie. People living on Catalina Island drive golf carts to help alleviate parking problems. I also saw a couple of Smart cars that are about the size of a golf cart. I saw very few real cars or trucks.     So I've definitely dropped the ball on sharing my adventure. We had an amazing visit in San Diego for 5 nights. We found a hostel on the beach to stay in for 2 nights. It was $35/night/person and we got a fresh shower, laundry facilities, free breakfast and free wifi. There were 60 people in the hostel so we met people that we're travelling from all over the world.     ... is an hour and 10 minutes. It was a smooth crossing, but still overcast, until we arrived and, like magic on so many of our excursions these past months, the sun came out and we had a spectacular day ahead of us.
