... Oscar Mayer turkey bacon, which has 50% of the fat of regular bacon, which is important to me as I'm very health conscious (last week's purchase was cheesecake brownie ice cream, by the way). Surprisingly, it was much more delicious than the bland regular bacon from the previous week, a rare win for American food (well, a win and a loss, the other bacon was 'Murican too).

It's snowing in CT ... expecting up to a foot of snow by mid-afternoon. So far our flight is on time out of JFK, but trying to connect with 10 other people who are coming to Tuscany on 4 different itineraries is going to be a challenge if any of our flights are delayed. But here's to the start of our vacation!!!

Our bedroom was in total darkness so without an alarm clock we had no idea what time of day it was. It could have been 3am, or 10am, but when you have to get up at a certain time, what seems like a minor missing item, can really be important.
