... I sat by the window, was shortly joined by a couple from canada. Very friendly, chatty people. :) At 11:40 we started boarding, my room was ready, so I went straight in. It's snowing in CT ... expecting up to a foot of snow by mid-afternoon. So far our flight is on time out of JFK, but trying to connect with 10 other people who are coming to Tuscany on 4 different itineraries is going to be a challenge if any of our flights are delayed. But here's to the start of our vacation!!!
4:30 and we're at JFK. Flight's on time...here we go!
An early wakeup call today of 6:15 am, as we wanted to be on our way to the airport by 8 am. The hotel had arranged for a car service to take us to the airport. Our elderly driver was a former policeman from Sri Lanka who worked for the government investigating fraudulent pay offs. He has been in Austria now for 37 years, and drives a call service on the weekend. I will spare you the rest of his history, but only to say is was a nice individual. We were about ten ...
... Once off the plane in Milan, we will pick up our car. Both of us will have to be wide awake for our 150 mile drive to Santa Margherita on the Ligurian coast. The drive is not our concern, it's the crazy Italian drivers.
Wi-Fi will not be available to us at all the towns and cities along our journey, but we will do our best to let you know what we're up to.
