Tonight we get picked up and taken to a big resort called Alf Leila Wa Leila. Here we are greeted by men on horseback. We wander through the resort to an elaborate Egyptian museum where everything is replicas of actual statues etc found in the Cairo museum. Then we go to where the show will take place, ...

... her death her stepson Tuthmosis III built a wall around the obelisk to hide it from view rather than destroy it. The obelisk is made of pink granite from Aswan. There is much to look at here so take as much time as possible if you go. From this temple you could once follow the Isle of sphinx, 4000 sphinx that lined a canal to Luxor temple. Many of the sphinx here have a rams head. The government is currently restoring this isle.
