... with detailed street signs over every entrance. Mozart's birthplace happened to be in the center of the street - the tall yellow house cannot be missed. After purchasing a few Mozartkugel (made of Marzipan, nougat, and dark chocolate), we pressed on towards Mozartplatz. Here, the streets opened up and offered amazing views of the New Residenz and Glockenspiel, Old Residenz, and the Salzburg Cathedral.

Our final night before flying back to the UK after 14 weeks travelling around Austria was spent in one of my favourite hotels in Bad Ischl.

We were kindly treated to a company meal in their restaurant which was AMAZING!! And it was really nice to have the use of the spa on our last night.

Toured Mozart's residence which was another free entry with the Salzburg Card.

Marlene and I went shopping, and saw a Xmas store with multi, multi dozens of decorated eggs...crazy. And the guys went to the catacombs.

The country also affords a bargain when compared to the ultra ritzy prices of Switzerland and has great food, good wine in the form of Vettliner and Sylvaner, two dry wines to go along iwith the Riesling, which is also typically drier than the german versions.
