      ... Even when I broke my foot earlier this hike - it did not slow me down. This sucks! Mile 1,794.40 tonight. 390.90 to go, if my foot holds up. Thursday, Aug 07 2014 Woke up late, because I slep in. Then it started to rain, so we stayed at the shelter til around 2pm. There were a few Southbounders that came in and they called it a day - due to the rain. A mom and her two sons stopped by. She is doing all the big peaks with them as day hikes!       ... something that was local and not a chain food place. Catalano's pizza was a small wooden building by the side of the road in a small town called Carroll. It served a huge, homemade pizza (they were stretching the pizzas in front of the customers) which was out of this world, plus an enormous plate of fries. We simply couldn't finish either!
