... the two of them, I then discovered what it was - a huge cockroach about four inches long (not including antennae) had landed on my back and begun scuttling about; apparently it was incredibly close to my arm when Jen's dad swiped it off. After this we switched tables but we were all getting psychological itches from the experience, so after we finished our beers, and as it was getting late anyway, I said goodbye and headed back to my hotel. I watched a terribly bad film on TV then went to bed.
... is a very popular name and has a different meaning), is an engineer working for a US firm. He is very ordinary, simple person who is still going to school at night to earn more degrees and dreaming of studying overseas. He lives in a small flat with his mother and sister, and he moved out of his bedroom so I could use it. His mother cooked us delicious dinners which we ate sitting on the floor, Vietnamese style. At the last night I took them out for dinner to try some Hue and Hanoi style ...

Bottles of water and a snack box of the yummy bakery items were given out as we left. At the town of Neak Loeung the bus went on a car ferry to cross the wide Mekong River. Just before the border which was 4 hrs away, we stopped for a rest. I wandered over the road to check out ...

... random local started talking to me on the street. He asked me where I was going and I told him I was going to check out a bar that had live music. I invited him to join me so he grabbed his moto and drove us there.
When we got there, this awesome Vietnamese band was playing some Guns & Roses. We found a seat then the random local said “You like beer? I like beer” I said yes and we both ordered a local beer. The drinks were very expensive here ...
... guns are on the same level as shawls). Im all for decency but is this not strange?! Naturally I was forced to buy a very becoming plain white t-shirt for $2 from the stall. A friggin rip if you ask me, and because I was so ****** off at paying for something completely unneccesary, half of the photos from the palace look like I want to kill someone (i.e. the person who sold the t-shirt). Palace was cool though, got to see a life size solid gold Buddha with 2000 diamonds ...

Went to the HIGHLANDS cafe on the opposite corner to the ALLEZ BOO for coffee, this place is very much like a *bucks, went on the internet there and then decided we should head somewhere else for breakfast. Didnt head very far - just to a stall opposite our hotel for a breakfast sandwich ...
... the hotel. Then we found a guide from Japanese travel agency waited for us in the lounge of the hotel. He was Vietnamese, but a good Japanese speaker with Osaka accents, although he had never been to Japan. He picked up three cheerful, young Japanese girls at another hotel. Probably, they were university students or something. They were carried away all the way to the airport and it made me more tired. What was worse, our flight was almost at midnight, but it was late.
