... you can find anything but you see a lot of spices and asked if you want to buy pashmeners and watches. Its a meandering of little corridors that go this way and that. The only think we bought were 'been to Dubai t-shirts'. Many hours spent looking and walking around and then it seemed many hours from old souk to boat to car and think I was the cause of the delay as there were photos oppotunities wherever I looked. ... seemed was only 3 hours so a short hop and then there was a 15minute bus ride to the terminal. Getting through immagration took another 2 hours, finding the hotel bus and waiting for same another hour and then a queue at the hotel meant putting my head down (taking into account the time changes) at 4am local time. Dubai
What an incredible city Dubai is. It was basically erected in the desert overnight. So many amazing things about this city. I was able to go to the top of the tallest building in the world and shop at the world's largest mall. Very cool experience! I also got to visit my friend Bruno, who is a flight attendant with Emirates Airlines.

UPDATE 23/01/2012: YES, naar het RTA kantoor gereden, aanvraagformulier invullen, even wachten en klaar! Nog wel wat gefronste wenkbrauwen met mijn oud Belgisch rijbewijs en bijhorende auto foto maar al bij al vlotjes gegaan.
