Life Lessons from Brownies and Billiards

The only thing that I wanted to do today was experience it to the fullest. I rode a mountain bike over to the next town of Villa Real (Vs are pronounced like Bs in spanish) for a needed corte de pelo (haircut) for tres mil (three thousand) colones ($6)! Biking through the hilly train of Costa Rica in this current weather is no joke. It has been 90s sunny and humid for the past month now (mucho calor)! Today was an ...

... happy. Then for the next few hours we saw a couple of guys weaving up and down into the street then back onto the beach and on and on looking for them. I am guessing they were found though because there were a bunch of woman riding them later on.

How amazing! Brenda started out by informing us ...

From Tamarindo you can see the beach but with few roads to reach around a peninsula, it was about a 40 minute drive to get to, where we arrived in the dark and had no idea where we were going. We had friends though; land crabs! These black and red crabs were all over the road and I had to dodge them with the car constantly.
We stayed at El Manglar a hotel/hostel that was a really cool hang out spot with ...

... apart.

There are many factors that influenced our decision to come home early but the fact that Costa Rica is now over-run by American ex-pats - many of whom don't assimilate - was up there. The change in twenty seven years is substantial and it saddens me. Yes, they inject money into the economy but at what expense. In the newspaper last week, there was even a call to do away with Colones and use US currency. Come ...
