... a/k/a Waze) directing us not back into the construction zone but rather out of town due west towards the Pacific. Close to the coast, our route turned into a goat road (our GPS sends us on these periodically no matter what country we visit) for about 13 miles. At one point we were driving very slowly down what was pretty clearly a heavily cobbled but currently dry river bed. These slow gravel roads in second and third ...

Today we were awoken by a lot of birds chirping. They start early in the morning here. We went to the hotel for breakfast. I woke up late today, and once again, Rhea Lynn made us breakfast. Lush. I eat multiple avocados each day.... I love them. They go well with EVERYTHING!

I spent a couple of hours reading and laying out by the pool before we left for the beach. Then that is exactly what I did there. Relaxed. I was a perfect beach bum. I am quite sure I could do it professionally. Lots of locals were there ...

... eye could see. I was told that they have a one track mind, with the mums-to-be solely focused on digging their hole, laying around 100 eggs, camouflaging the nest and then heading back out to sea. They use their powerful flippers to drag themselves up the beach and then to dig their nest, I got accidentally flicked with a flipperful from quite a distance, so can appreciate how much sand they're shifting! It's all a lot of ...
