... Consuelo Velázquez. It is one of the most famous boleros, and was recognized in 1999 as the most sung and recorded Mexican and Latin American song in the world. The song was inducted into the Latin Grammy Hall of Fame in 2001. Nice relaxed vibe at this place, overlooking the beach where surfers are surfing and generally hanging out alongside us touristy folks. Generally relaxed all afternoon i.e. 'beer napping'. Good morning! We started the morning by driving to Tamarindo through Nicoyia and Santa Cruz. Your feet have to be touching and your toes up on the board as if you were about to do a push up. Then you paddle. Bambi says I am a floppy, sloppy, paddler. :( Bambi would push me into the waves and count unooo, dooooss, tres, ARRRIBA! And when he said arriba I had to first grab the board, close by my chest, then quickly slide my ...

... apart.

There are many factors that influenced our decision to come home early but the fact that Costa Rica is now over-run by American ex-pats - many of whom don't assimilate - was up there. The change in twenty seven years is substantial and it saddens me. Yes, they inject money into the economy but at what expense. In the newspaper last week, there was even a call to do away with Colones and use US currency. Come ...
