Port Stephens Dolphin Capital of Australia

Stayed at the Big 4 camp on Oyster Farm Road, Lemon Tree Passage by a lovely creek in a peaceful town. Gorgeous. Visited Nelson Bay the main bay of the Port , Shoal Bay and the beautiful much smaller Fingal Bay. it was here we spotted the dolphins. They were out there ages surfing in the waves. So lovely to watch. ...

... party for a Tuesday night. JP and Emma made heaps of pizza of all different kinds and there were about 25-30 people over.

GRMA Fran sent me an email a couple of days ago saying that Lars needed a haircut, so Helene tried to put his hair in a ponytail to see if it was too long.. sure enough, she was able to get it into half a pony! Haha. Another fantastic night at Bar Beach House. :]

... a unicorn plush, that we later named Queef and let the desk guy at Wake Up decorate with a sharpie marker. Then we got back to Haymarket and we had the party bus at night, which Fredo, Alicia & I missed because we were too busy drinking goon in our room and also because we're too damn slow and lost. ... and body surf to the front and dash up the beach to claim the 1st spot on the podium! It was an amazing finish that had the whole crowd going crazy. Except for Ali Day's supporters as he had been leading the race for so long and was so far in front it almost looked impossible for him not to win. The final result was 1st Matt Poole, 2nd Ali Day, 3rd Shannon Eckstein (who had won the race in Perth!) We had a brilliant day watching both competitions and agreed it was totally ...

... bidding them farewell. Since their meetings are only once every two months though, I hope that I will be able arrange my visits back to Australia in the future to coincide with their meetings.

Tomorrow I will say goodbye to my Aunt/Godmother and also to my beautiful 94-year-old grandmother. Whether I will see her again at all one cannot know. In many ways, of course, I hope so, but part of me is sad to think that she might continue deteriorating for much longer. She has ...
