... on this month on his way back from Spain and was held up for several hours on the autoroute just outside Toulouse because it was blocked by tractors. The farmers are not happy with changes to the agricultural policy. He made it to the ferry with just 10 minutes to spare! It’s no wonder the French are the laughing stock of Europe. It upsets me to see this amazing country sinking more into recession because they all have tÍtes de bois ...

The Mountains at Last

... to get to the top. It was his first real mountain climb and he wasn’t disappointed, the scenery was totally awesome with switchbacks through the woods at the bottom of the climb before getting ever steeper and slower before finally reaching the summit at 1490 metres, wow what an achievement! His best ride to date!


All in all we have had a brilliant few days, and now we are off to do some work!!

... the quite village areas and the ski fields. A beautiful Saturday and chance to reflect. Chaos as usual in the city!

... poor quality and winding. However it traversed some amazing scenery which we had a little more time to enjoy. We had been riding a lot of the day with Nuna, a guy from Lisbon in Portugal who was one of the ‘Triple Crown’ riders - the group of nine who were doing all the Haute Route events in succession.
