Right folks - first day in Playa del Carmen, it's 8am and it is HOT! Better turn on the air con.
I have not met the tour yet as I arrived late yesterday! Bit of advice for anyone coming from cancun airport to Playa, private taxi shuttle is totally worth it $34!

And if you see the Mayans lined up for work here, they don't look all that unhappy about the hotels. I know that I never felt too exploited in my three years of working at the place on Kauai.
I'm not sure where the line should be drawn. I couldn't get a straight answer about the lion cub because the guy who charged me $20 was all annoyed because he "gave me a deal" and my Spanish really sucks.
