Turn the calendar from January 31 to Feb 1 and this place changes dramatically. The island has gone from a sleepy peaceful place with few people, mostly older, to more traffic, more people. Lots of familys, younger people. They tell me "the season" here is Feb and March and this has been very evident this week. The Morean Arts Center was in an upscale part of town that had a great mix of new and old construction and you could tell money was put into the restoration and maintenance of the area.
