It's something we had heard about but never witnessed for ourselves that we just don't see in New Zealand. You don't have to fight for your patch of sand. But I had a great time corkscrewing up and down the coastal promontories, although at one point I had to brake because I ran into traffic, which was being held up by a bus that couldn't ...

A travel blog entry by timsparling on Jun 25, 2015

... busy highway for a while, but with a decent shoulder and excellent surface. After turning on to quiet side roads, we experienced fields of sunflowers among other things with the Pyrenees off in the distance to the north as a backdrop. Very pleasant riding all the way to Girona, even after Dave & Linda pulled away from me and I was riding on my own for a while to the end.
