... on the Dardanelles and I also visited a place called Gelibolu, (Gallipoli) where Turkey basically beat Australia's butt in the First World War, as my polish friend told me. It is a quiet sleepy harbour, some car, and cargo ferries and lots of fishing boats, and of course there was a standard Ataturk statue.
