... we went for another drive in a different direction and managed to find a smaller ski slope which we could go on. It was already closed for the day but we went back there today. The resort is called 'kals am grossglockner ski resort' and its pretty huge, but we just went on a nice easy run today. Its about 8 years since I learnt to ski but I think I did ok today, I didn't fall over so I was happy. Well apart from when I tried snowboarding. Ben ...

tables and chairs under a large wooden structure. It had flowers and water
features in it and even had glass ashtrays on the tables. It was just extremely

The weather today was extremely overcast with loads of low lying mist and
not good at all for photography. I stopped on a number of occasions to try and

It felt I came home, besides everyone thinks I am Italian.

When we entered the Dolomite's it was just breath taking I was ...

      Back to Austria?

A travel blog entry by rolandandlinda on Sep 18, 2014

Time to leave Valle Verde. Decided to give Austria
another try as we are hearing that the weather has improved. However, with low
cloud this morning, there is little point in going over the high Dolomite
      passes.

Decided to go north through Moena and then west over a lower
pass to Bolzano. As expected, the low cloud made for little viewing of the
      mountain peaks.

Went north to Bressanone but stayed on a ...

... the kWs. Looks like the fridge takes around 4kW a day and heating can
double that, plus lights etc. If we use heating, we need to have it on gas.

Drove to Fiames, to Camping Olympia, just to the north of
Cortina and spent a relaxed morning around the motorhome. Biked into Cortina in
the afternoon, taking shelter from a rainy period at a hotel for a cappuccino.
      Strolled around Cortina for ...
