Many of the vendors were actually making the crafts at the booth, including the candy cane makers, who were rolling giant balls of sugar dough into candy canes. Welcome to Cologne the receptionist said.. the forecast is for rain, snow and -1 degree...guess that is what German winters are about.
Rugged up we venture out of doors and find it suprisly crisp cool but not bitterly cold or unpleasant. Umbrellas are up, and we join the groups wandering around the Cologne Cathedral. Being a Monday it allows us the room and less crowds to view this gigantic church that towers above all ...

Over 160 specially designed & decorated "cabins" featuring Christmas music, arts and crafts, toys, Christmas decorations and the scent of the Christmas bakeries creating a wonderful atmosphere. Nuestro segundo día estaba dedicado a Colonia. Resulta que el 11 del 11 a las 11:11 se da oficialmente abierto el carnaval de Colonia. Lo loco es que en realidad el carnaval sigue después en febrero y marzo pero bueno nos venia como anillo al dedo.

Respecto al carnaval.... una locura, he decidido que los alemanes están de la cabeza jaja. Realmente saben como divertirse ...
