NOTE: We brought only our $99 waterproof Lumix into the caves today, thus the difference in photographic quality.

The only reason one would head all the way here to Sagada is for its natural and cultural offerings: namely caves, abundant pine forests, and of course, every outsider gawks at the hanging coffins (they are exactly what they sound like) clinging onto sheer rock faces.

So today, Rob and I signed ourselves up for some caving: just the basic 1.5 hour ...

Despite our best efforts to go to bed prepared, with earplugs firmly stuffed in our auditory orifices, we were still assaulted by the vocals of the menagerie of domestic creatures that live below our bedroom window. At 4am, it was what sounded like a dog battle of Twilight vampires-versus-wolves proportions, then once the first rays of the sun peeked over the pine-lined mountaintops, the cocks were at it, crowing as if their lives depended on it.

... tricycle may be a bit unbalanced! Even the locals were pointing, honking and laughing at these westerners clinging on to the tricycle.
