I caught the 6.30am bus to Sagada which involved getting up at 4.30am since the only bus line that runs to Sagada is yet to realise the benefits of adopting a pre-booking ticket system. I had a 5am breakfast of chinese food and lined up in the muddy bus terminal for my bus. Baguio was bigger than I was expecting whereas Sagada was a lot smaller than I was expecting. I had spoke to a Dutch guy en route to Batad and he was at my guesthouse while we killed time till the night bus to Manila. I grabbed some fried rice and picked up some snacks for the overnight journey.



The bus left at 7 am and was packed. I got some sleep, but the driver played some pretty loud music driving south to Manila.

Sagada, Philippines - The epitome of mountain cool, Sagada (1477m) is where you go if you want to escape from civilization for a few days. The area has caves, peaks, waterfalls and hanging coffins. I didn't reach Sagada till late in the afternoon. I quickly found a cheap single room and explored the quaint and peaceful little town.
