... drinks later, everyone was very knackered! We got some Haagen Daas ice cream from across the road and Angelos and I went to a fancy looking dive shop to book our wreck dive and fun dive tomorrow and it was only $5 more than Playa Scuba, totally worth it!

Back to the flat with everyone wordlessly heading to bed....Finished off the theory for the wreck dive and then fell asleep to How I met your mother lol!

... it on our 30min surface interval , then found another spot that lots of divers were at but they were heading off. So we hopped on in, took about 5 mins to find them. And then we sure did. You have to imagine the water is only at about 15m visibility so you're just waiting for a shadow to form and a shark to pop out of the blue. Suddenly we were surrounded by more than we could count and keep our eyes on, we estimate 8-12 of them circling only us as we were the only divers ...

... later and got off the boat. We checked out the videos and photos from the swim on the screens but decided not to buy it because it was so expensive and we had our camera anyway. After getting dressed and back in the van we headed back to playa del Carmen. It took another hour to get there, we were back by 3pm still stoked on what we had achieved today. ... and lots and lots and lots of super drunk texans. Yeah! We were overcome with joy....walk back to MEGA which is a pseudo mall with a super target/Walmart on top. We had to check our chicken nachos at the door. Seriously. They even have us a claim check.

The north face of the main temple to Kalakcan is impressive. Construction is underway to resurface the entrie temle.

There certainly were more vendors here, again a reflection of the increased crowds with the new status of Chichen Itza. I also noted to Kathleen that I thought the quality of what was on offer was also ...
