... sound. Jo has done some work on the sewing machine. The weather up here at the moment is absolutely perfect, yes we are getting 30 deg days but accompanied by a cooling sea breeze most afternoons and the evenings are balmy.

This weekend we take off to Townsville Hash 1750th Anniversary run. We did their 1500th in April 2004 and what a great run that was, so we expect a big weekend.

Anyway, on to Townsville, just outside of which we found the Big Brolga, a large bird in the crane family, often found in this area. Aboriginal legend says that Brolga was a once famous dancer called Buralga. However, she spurned the attentions of an evil magician who changed her by combining her with a whirlwind cloud of dust into a graceful crane!

... s flapping around. Apparently it's completely unknown as to why they are there but they go there every year at the same time and it was really special. They were beautiful bright blue and brown butterflies just everywhere! Saw a couple of spiders, not even particularly big ones but still managed to **** it and make a complete **** of myself in front of a bunch of people, but honestly no matter how many spiders i see i'm never going to get used to them, i mean common!!!! 8 legs ...

... Magnetic Island...But first we wanted to drive up the hill in the middle of the township and have a look around .....



This was an interesting looking church we came across ...Note the rather 'Dan Brown' sinister URL of 'Spiritus.org'...I was going to go on and make fun of them over it here ...

... but all the same, very nice indeed. Most people get a golf buggy to haul themselves around but we caught the shuttle bus around the island to get a feel for the place and our informative driver pointed out John Travolta’s house (which you can’t see from the road, but has a nice fence!) and the house where the guy who won "The World’s Best Job" competition lives. We overhead some guys talking on the ferry – he is very unpopular as he has not been ...

... nach Magnetic Island führen. Er hatte sich üb**legt, einen Roll** od** irgendwas auszuleihen und einen Tag lang die Insel abzufahren. Klingt nach ein** Menge Spaß, ab** ich kann mein Geld nicht mehr so rausfeu**n, also habe ich mich dazu entschieden, heute einfach nur den Strand zu genießen. Magnetic Island lässt sich auch vom Strand aus ganz nett betrachten. ;-)

... sou, plus moyen de prouver mon identite, plus de telephone et je suis au milieu de nulle part toute seule.... que faire maintenant?... c'est dur de ne pas paniquer... je ne sais pas si je dois pleurer ou crier... mais je n'ai pas envie de faire ni l'un ni l'autre... ce n'est pas la fin du monde et je n'ai pas ete agressee physiquement... et crier ou pleurer ne va pas faire avancer le binz....

... mini mokes and are little things. They were topless (so it was good that it was nice and sunny!) and we had a blue car and a pink car - which looked just like barbie cars! We drove to Picnic Bay first which gave a good view of the mainland. Then we drove to a place where you can feed wild Rock Wallabies! They were really cute. Very handy that I'd brought an apple for lunch as we used that to feed them as they have a restricted diet. There was one very bold wallaby who'd ...

... rase koha, kus teenindas meid üks väga meeldiv ja sõbralik neiu. Nagu ikka küsis ta, kust me tuleme, kuid tavapärase vastuse asemel hakkas ta hoopis õhku ahmima ja ütles, et tema on ka Eestist, nimeks Imbi! Tegelikult küll pooleldi eestlane, sest ainult isa olevat eestlane ja ta ise on Eestis käinud vaid mõne korra (Kuressaares) ja eesti keelt ei räägi. Ma olen kindel, et veel terve teine Eestitäis inimesi on tegelikult kusagil maailmas ula peal, oleme neist nii mõndagi juba kohanud :)
