... car & up the road to the Culinary Institute of America (CIA). The most beautiful campus & again on the Hudson River. Plenty of students walking around between classes, all wearing the check pants, white tunic & clogs. It was also super busy because there was a graduation ceremony. We had lunch at the Apple Pie Bakery cafe, I had quiche & salad & Fray had pumpkin soup. We shared a coconut, salted caramel brioche donut for dessert. ...

Cover it in iceberg lettuce, tomato, onion & tuna salad, fold it in half & toast it briefly. Potato crisps on the side. Oh my god. $9. It is always great to see these two amazing people! We also got to visit with Ben's cousin, Rachel. We also met her two sons Luke and James. It is always so nice to meet up with friends and family along our trip!

      We climbed at the ...

After our tour of Lindenwald, Martin Van Buren's home, we continued south to Olana, the home of Frederic Church of the Hudson River School of painters. It was rather cold and blustery so we sought refuge in the museum/office where I ran into Adrienne and Sharon of the Red Rock Circle. Vesna had tentatively ...

Not sure I remember much about the morning before we arrived in Hyde Park to visit the FDR site. I still am a bit confused - having been excited by the fact that the National Park Service ran something here....but not everything. I did get us a reduction on the FDR Home tour I think with my Senior Pass as well as free admission to the Library and Museum - or was it the other way around?? We had to wait for the house tour so we went into the ...
