Haven't been able to see much of Szeged as we went to the race venue at 7.15 am this morning and returned to the hotel at 7 pm. Just too tired to walk into town after dinner.
The thing about this level of competition is that it is all encompassing. There is not much time for anything else. Even being a spectator is exhausting.
The temperature here is very hot and quite draining. Hungarians are lovely people but they haven't discovered yet about the dangers of the sun. They were marshalling the teams an hour before the race and expecting them to stand in 30+ degree heat and got vey upset when the teams kept going to the shade.
It was very well run and went smoothly with the last race being run about 5pm. All in all a good day.
