... did but apparently not, so we went to dinner in town at 9.30. The waiter was overjoyed to see us but managed to keep a surly demeanour . It was the only experience so far that was less than ordinary. The food was terrible. We thought we were ordering pâté but the goose liver with fat was just that. Goose livers whole in lard. We had to scrape the fat off as it was swimming in it. I did have a nice soup but that ...

About five o'clock the compeer burst into song. He actually had a pretty good voice and broke into a George Michael song. He came back with an encore of Hound dog. The crowd went wild
Well time for bed as we have to be at breakfast at 6am. Another day, another medal.....we hope.
We hope all is well back home. Ted have you worked out the video player yet? If not ask the boys.
World Champion Waz and ...
... we have the thermal baths as part of it.. So we came home, changed and went to soak in the pools. The one we choose was supposed to be 38degrees, so 30 mins there and back for dinner.
Warren has tomorrow off so he will stay here and hopefully beat this rotten flu. There are quite a few people with varying degrees of it so they have been told to stay put. It is only the 1000 m races tomorrow so not his race.

... One of the Canadians recognised me from HK. Whilst we are fierce competitors on the water most paddlers are really friendly and it is a great atmosphere.
Tomorrow it starts, and everything they have worked for is on the line. Unfortunately there are quite a few with the flu including Warren so I have been asking Archangel Raphael to heal them. All you angels out there we could do with some healings please.
