... several restaurants throughout Portugal. Though it is widely offered on the menu, we were the only people we saw, actually ordering sushi. The rest of the people in the restaurant had Japanese fondu, Kobe steak, and tempura. Coming from California, we are used to having both fresh fish and creative sushi. Unfortunately, Yakuza was a little basic on their menu items and a little bit of a disappointment, especially for the kids who were looking forward to the ...

Although there was some surf breaking on to the beach and boarders in the sea, I guess on the day it wasn't the right conditions to ride the waves for any distance. Stunning location all the same. I have discovered that I like sardines and that I have an allergy to something shell fishy!

I became a 'HB' and am now a'TB'.... An honorary boy because I was the only woman in an all male crew who mucked in and then a true boy because I could pull halyards and sheets like the rest of them! Quite an honour!

... night and late night chats and it was perfect start to our time in Portugal. The next day we ventured to the nearby lighthouse before a swim at the cove beach down the road. Arvo beers soon turned into night time cocktails which in turn changed to early morning dancing and sunrise pizzas before heading to bed around 630am. We rose around lunchtime for a feed and some bean bag chills before heading back to ...
