On the trail. We hiked from Les Houches to Refuge de la Miage. Stunning views all the way. Hiked across a suspension bridge over a stream flowing from an Alpine glacier. The day ended with a long long descent that was very ******* our knees, but we survived.

... the talk. Hard as ****! Nicolette was a trooper and pushed through the first 13 miles with under 100 complaints. Macho woman pumped out the miles. The last four miles was a dreadful straight up climb and she had to have died at least 12 times in that period. We made it and reached a pretty kickass refuge with about 250 people in one room. We headed back to Turin again for the night to be treated to some more homemade delights... Pepperoni con Bagna cauda, pasta with pesto, prosciutto & salami, and of course some gelato to finish off.

Oh, and I almost forgot, I had the world's best hot chocolate at a small bar in the Pre-Saint Didier village... so thick the spoon almost stood up on its own. Mmmmmm.
