... the rain.
Today i visit the Calanques National park. Very beautiful with some stunning views of the coast and cliffs. Fanatic day rock climbing and pushing the boundaries of safety to the limit on some very narrow paths along the cliff face. Great adrenalin rush, but i finish the day absolutely exhausted.
My last day in Marseille is spent walking ...
... we enjoyed our last lunch in the dining room then reluctantly packed our bags & disembarked. Caught a taxi to out hotel, the gorgeous historic Intercontinental Marseille Hotel Dieu. Our amazing executive room had a large undercover terrace with a panoramic view over the Old Port.

After about five hours driving, arriving at Sanary, our first impressions were mixed whilst we searched for our accommodation. Parking the car and looking out to sea we spotted what looked like a surf club right on the beach, turns out this is the Bed and Breakfast we booked. Got my cuddle before the alarm went off at 6 am. God is it quiet that time of the day. We all got ready, rang the in-laws to make sure they were up and then drove to Sanary-sur-Mer where we had breakfast in "La Sport". We ordered their continental breakfast set which turned out to be one basket of baguette, one basket of croissants, butter, jam and knives. No plates. ... the tired body. The next day we decided to organise ourselves, had a lovely lunch out and went to the bullfight. Unfortunately the night before there was a good thunderstorm and the bullfight was cancelled. Never-mind there is always next time. Onward George shouted and so we travelled to Aix-en-Provence, stayed on expensive campsite but it was well worth the money. Fabulous pool,nice pitch and the bus stop outside to town.
