Other historical buildings we saw included Holy Family Church, Joslyn Castle, St. Cecelia Catholic Church, Mother Church of the Archdiocese of Omaha and The Rose Theater. Here is a little information about each of these.

Holy Family Church was built in 1883 and is the oldest existing Catholic Church in Omaha. It began as a church for Irish railroad workers and their families. The Priests of Holy Family established Creighton University in the late 1800’s. ...

Angela- we are finally at the half way point. I drove all morning and we stopped at a Starbucks in Lincoln to rest and refuel (on coffee, that is). I was really excited when we crossed the border and saw signs for Omaha Nebraska that I shouted 'this is where I was born' even though I clearly wasn't born on the highway... Lol... It was smooth sailing while Seth slept because I could go 75mph! Now I'm going to take a nap and let him drive the rest of the day... Tune in ...

... Michelle Hilmeyer's house a little after 5:00. They ordered pizza for all of us for dinner. Michelle had to take Patrick to soccer practice and Pat had to pick him up later. ... on the Tarmac for thunderstorms and an "interesting" flight dodging said thunderstorms, saw us into Omaha late. A very late pick up in Omaha by Eileen and son of the year recipient, Nick who drove, saw us safe in the Lincoln at 1230 AM. A famous David Voigt, Martini calmed the nerves and saw us to bed. The end of a long day. The moral.......... Don't agree to a 45 minute transit ...

Lots of energy and enthusiasm at Ayars & Ayars in Lincoln, one of the most beautiful (and greenest!) buildings in Nebraska, as Mike Ayars hosted a campaign event for me in advance of a Husker basketball game.
