    Dropped our food off at the Calders and had our goodbyes. Freezing cold today 9F. Car was so full we had to take our garbage down the road on the hood of the car. 2:00 - Duty Free Erie - got 3 bottles of rum and one Carolan - 57.00! WOOT. These are 1ltr and not those skimpy 750ml. Also, you pay in Canadian $$ - that is 20% less than anything we will ...

    ... lines to contend with but traffic was light and I could at least drive slowly and absorb the splendour. It truly is awesome, mile after mile.

    It was meant to be a short day but by the time we stopped for photos plus this and that and something else it was nearly 4:30 before we got to a campsite for the night. Found a nice spot on Lake Couchiching which is separated from Lake Simcoe by a narrow neck of land.

    ... s wifi and I know I’ll be spending time on my gadgets. It was interesting to note that every tap had a ‘Boil Water Advisory’ sign. Apparently if water in Ontario isn’t chlorinated, it’s not safe to drink but the water at this campsite has been supplied by an underground spring that has never dried up. It was first tapped in the 1930s for a lodge that was built there at the time. Obviously some ‘politics’ being played out.

    ... drive around Lake Muskoka, going trough Bala, Gravenhurst, and Bracebridge. Great little antique shops, and amazing cottages at every turn.
