Mike's plate held two huge slices of meatloaf, which I failed to record in my photos. Lewisburg is the county seat of Union County, situated on the West Bank of the Susquehanna River and close to the Lewisburg Federal Penitentiary - a fact that got Mike's attention as he knew ...

... the streams, wetlands and lakes are higher than normal and the ground is spongy wherever we walk. This last week of rain has left its mark.

Fall has most definitely made its appearance. Gorgeous, brilliant colours right beside the road, sometimes off-set by red granite cut-faces, and the hillsides look like Mother Nature has been sponge painting with joyous abandon in crimson, red, gold, yellow and orange and has added an irregular bottom border ...

... Now we had a cold wet dog to sleep with! We had a yummy dinner at the Mill on Main and as dusk fell we found our way to Arrowhead Provincial Park. We keep saying that we will NOT set up camp in the dark, but once again we trying to find a spot in pitch black, darker than dark, cold, wet forest. Hmmmmm Sept 22- Even though it was still rainy there was a glimmer of hope for sunshine and we ...
