... dating from 100 B.C, and the general core of downtown Verona. Pity we didn't have more time on this visit but we'll put it on the list for a return trip. After parting with Laura, we grabbed the fast train back to Venice. The rain storm turned worse, we grabbed ponchos at the train station and watched the lightning overhead as we made our way down the Grand Canal. Mae Mae didn't like the lightening, although she observed that she was probably ...

Now I'm sitting back at my fraternity at Butler. It feels great to have been welcomed ...

As true campers though, we still rose early. Not because the rooster was crowing or the early morning sun lit up the tent like a lighthouse, no. But because it was the AFL grand final! Lets be honest, if it was on at 3am or 3pm while I was out, I wouldn't put any effort in to watch it but at 8am ...

Day 18 - Venice

... our apartment the first or any other time we left it.

The shared single slice of pizza not satisfying our hunger so we eventually agreed upon a cafe situated along the outside of one of the squares we went through on our way back to the apartment for a mid-day siesta to let the harshest sun pass. It was a pretty good value meal. Tom had a Penne Arribata which was basically penne in a spicy ragu. I was looking for something other than pasta so I ...
