... church - the outside is as plain as plain but inside it is amazing - no photos allowed. Leaving the church there was a second hand wares market set up in the square - lots of antique beads, glass , records etc. I then headed to Scoula di San Rocco - but it was 5:40 and closing time was 5:30. ... outside though and we wanted to check it out as we had a pass that allowed us to take unlimited vaporetto rides in 48 hours. The trip probably took the best part of 45 min finally ending up on the island of Lido. Now this island holds many hotels and is sort of an upmarket area about a kilometre and a half from Venice proper. Pamela and I stayed on the vaporetto thinking that it would just complete its circuit and start again. We were wrong. We got kicked off at that point and ...

... been thinking about for the last few days. Ai Tre Archi’s version did not disappoint. The others ordered spaghetti carbonara and pizza and everyone devoured their dishes for the most part. Mikey ordered something called the Homer Simpson, a pizza that had, among other things, hotdogs on it.

Jacques was pretty overactive during his first real meal in Europe. So much so that one of ...
