... at our hotel had told us it was a must see and a beautiful island and she was right! All of the houses are painted bright colours and it felt much cleaner than Venice. We arrived right on 'Siesta time' so the island was very quiet but still lots of tourists etc. Burano is famous for its Lace and all of the stores are full of lace products, it even has its own leaning tower!!
