    ... these lovely treats sitting at one of the tables. Our ice cream dish had raspberry and orange, lemon, and strawberry gelato with cream on top. Once we ate these things we went back to the train station where we hoped onto the train to Padova. We then travelled for a little while and arrived in Padova.     ... hungry.
    Dan and I found a nice outdoor ristorante in the sun in Stefano square and sat there for at least an hour people watching, while we had spaghetti loaded with seafood. We were then going to go to the museum at the Doges Palace but we were museumed out, so instead we just took a long walk back towards our hotel arriving around 4:00.

    ... but tomorrow will be a 12-hour day with a city tour, group picture, free time, and farewell dinner. AM After many bus trips what a treat to travel by boat on a warm sunny day. The view of Venice from the water really is spectacular by day or by night. Visiting one of the islands is a much more relaxed pace then touring through crowds in the heart of the city and gave us the opportunity to meander through the local shops and truly enjoy Italian hospitality. ...

So while we were having the lemon thing Milena had gone out to check on the kids and apparently Wilson had gone on the canal again, although not quite sure how, because there was one tiny sliver of opening... Apparently the goal was near there (stupid) and karl deflected one, saved the goal, but into the drink! Milena said karl was standing on a boat trying to get it back... Ee gads.     ... other attractions like The Trevi Fountain and Piazza Navona but the Colosseum was hard to beat. Sunday also saw Ollie finally become a teenager. We celebrated with a pizza lunch at a local restaurant and gelato by the Trevi Fountain…Ollie got an extra scoop because it was his special day. Monday finished with a tour inside the Colosseum which was a great way to finish our time in Roma.
