... road and it looked like your regular motel. But Paul went to the manager (no, no upgrades this time), saw the room, and we all really liked it. The room is clean, comfortable, and decorated with horses. Can you imagine Miss Elizabeth's response? We dropped off our stuff and I visited the nearby Visitors' Centre. On the advice of a gentleman there, we made our way to Lick Wash trail. I kid you not. However, to get to Lick Wash, we had to drive for about an hour and a half, most ...

There was extensive damage to the trail from the recent rainstorm, but with a bit of confusion we were able to find the remains in the major wash and continued. We met only one other pair of hikers at about 2 miles into our ...

... service built this path. The next 1/2 mile that we did not complete was along a sheer ridge guided by a chain and shared by people coming down like a giant team building exercise. On top of that the ridge was made of some sandstone material so every step you took there was a fine layer of slippery sand. We made the first summit and bailed. Maybe with hiking boots- maybe without kids. I heard it was spectacular at ...

... ocean trout. They were both delicious. Time does get away from us at night as sunset isn't until 8:30 pm.
We are very happy with the length of time we spent here in Zion. Suited us perfectly. Very impressive town, which is very upmarket with its cafes, restaurants and extensive art & craft shops. I decided not to look in any so I wasn't tempted as we have nowhere to put anything else, nor do we need anything more.
