Stopped here for the night, couldn't make Monaco.
The town is called Cuneo, it's got a lovely main piazza with bars and restaurants all round.
Is a bit out of the way, and I think is a base camp for skiing in the winter.
The B&B was great value, absolutely spotless room, with underground parking, worth a call if you're in that area.
So off to San Remo, which means mountains, got to find a Garmin store, as Sally can't find London, I spell it ...

Although I think I do a fairly good job of balancing work with "life," compared to Italy, I'm not even close. This trip has made me want to sell the house, pack our bags, and move to a small town in Italy. Who wants to come?
PS: We are in Venice and we have GREAT wifi. Yay!

... are in Australia, you need to book a visit . Each village has a local Encoteca , like a wine 'library' that you visit , taste and learn about the wines and then see if that Cru is available for a booking the next day/s. The encoteca are often in the oldest public building (castle or church) in the village and they literally do look like libraries with shelves up to the ceiling full of wine , all classified into grape types, with ...

... us to the history of their winery and the different types of machinery used which are now displayed in the old cellars beneath the house which are used today as the family's private cellar. He then gave us a taste of five of Lica Ferraris' wines - one white called Sensazionale and four reds. The white was my favourite. The Ruche is the key wine for the family and the most expensive one was good. They also have a moscato ...
