We cut west on the autostrada, almost all the way to the Cinque Terre but not quite, then north along the coast all the way to the town of Savona, where we turned inland and northward. From there we made our way to our hotel in Aosta and had a quiet stroll around this ancient Roman town before bed. Thurs Oct 9 A two hour drive saw us arrived in Pollenzo to visit the XIX century estate called The Agency which once belonged to King Charles Albert of Savoy. It is now a university which attracts people interested in ...

I wake up at 6am in the Albergo Cavalieri del Tau in Altopascio , Italy. After a quick breakfast I am on the road soon after 8am.

It's mountain roads at first. I stop for lunch of prosciutto sandwiches and olives at a bar/deli in the mountains.

It's windy on the roads this morning, but there is very little traffic, very slow but fun. Some sunshine on a mostly ...
