      ... hikes are in 12 different parks that stretch the length of the state (not that Delaware is very long.....and even less wide). Of course I will be completing all fifteen trails :) Thought it would be a great way to get to know my new home state.

Fort Miles and the observation towers were abandoned by the Army in the early 1960s, but there have been some efforts to preserve these structures.       G&R was a nice campground in the woods. This campground was only about 20 minutes from Dover. This made for a good home base while we looked for a place to live. God found us a great place on Dover Air Force Base housing. A very nice two bedroom two story four-plex. Our house would not be available for about three weeks so after four day at G&R we moved over to the Delaware Seashore State Park and would stay there for two weeks. ...
