    ... they are camped on the Army Artillery Range out of Florence AZ. The Artillery Range is Federal Land that’s open the year around except for when the Army is playing with their guns… the range must be 18 – 20 sq miles… A fair size piece of real estate… Also in the off season it’s an open range where cattle are ranged on the land.

    Along the base of the hill, several small springs produce 8-12 gallons a second... enough for good drinking water... enough to run down the hill to irrigate some of their land.

    ... the nearby mountain range is highlighted by clear blue skies. Often there are birds chirping announcing that Spring is here! We see different types of tracks … some birds, some lizards, Rowdy tracks and of course our tracks too! Such is the freshness of discovery in the desert. When Rowdy had visitors Gracie and Tasha accompany him on his these daily walks (for Rowdy they are daily Runs) there were three sets of dog tracks!
