      ... This is not just a walk but we did see some younger children with their parents making their way to and from the top.

      These two senior travelling foodies managed the climb without incident but did break a sweat and had to remove our sweaters. Getting to the top entailed carefully climbing the narrow, rocky trail up the side of the mountain with a great deal of loose rock.       ... they are camped on the Army Artillery Range out of Florence AZ. The Artillery Range is Federal Land that’s open the year around except for when the Army is playing with their guns… the range must be 18 – 20 sq miles… A fair size piece of real estate… Also in the off season it’s an open range where cattle are ranged on the land.

      ... animal species found nowhere else in the world. Tuzigoot is the remains of the 110 room pueblo perched on the high ridge with a panoramic view of the Verde River and the Verde Valley.

      In our next blog we will talk about our trip with the Grand Canyon Railway in Williams, AZ to Grand Canyon for 2 days and back to Williams AZ.
