TripAdvisor Reviews Ramparts Inn Montego Bay
Travel Blogs from Montego Bay
After arriving in Montego Bay we quickly realised that we both love the road less travelled. Here we were again with the American tourists in a resort town with the sketchy local traders trying to aggressively get their two bobs worth out of you. An overnighter in a non-descriptive hotel then a morning flight to catch that took us ...
... no sunscreen and now they are red raw. It's funny to watch. Fletch and Brodie have found 2 american boys and have been playing with them. Tomorrow we head off to LA and it's going to be another big travelling day. I think we will get to the hotel at around 3am Jamaican time so we are going to be stuffed, then we need to get up early and spend the whole day at Disneyland. After 6 days of lounging around, our batteries are recharged and we'll be ready for ...
... to look, so you go in and have a look at more wood carvings to keep them happy. You then say sorry, not really interested and they usually reply 'that's cool mon'. As long as you have a look in their shop, that's enough to keep them happy. A bloke came up to D'Lene and had a $5 Australian note he wanted to change to US$. Poor bloke has probably been waiting ages for some Aussies to pass through the markets.
Went to Jimmy ...
... Our layover is a little over an hour. He suggests we run.
We're confused. Doubtful. Unsure. And most uncomfortably, out of breath. We haul ass sprinting from one end of the Montego Bay airport with ALL of our luggage in tow to the complete opposite end of the airport. My internal pedometer counts 13434235343432 steps, or roughly 0.75 miles. We turn heads, dodge children, and hurdle stray luggage. When in Jamaica, do as Usain Bolt would do.
... 8220;White Party” on the pool deck - that was fun. Good music and everyone having a good time. After the White Party, we went down to the Casino. Fortunately, it was much better than previous nights - we closed it down.
Back to the room, we crashed - eager for two sea days.
Note: While we were in Falmouth, we had our camera set on a weird setting that caused a lot of light to be shown.
