We have another sea day tomorrow before reaching Saigon so that should help Helen recover from the outings two days in a row. Saigon is our last port before returning to Singapore on Friday.

We have been fortunate with the weather throughout - no rain at all but our guides and ship's crew tell us this is the best time to visit Asia in the middle of their winter. the temperatures have been in the high 20s and into the low 30s but humidity has been low ...

Met Wilf for one last thai dinner, said my good byes to Hayley the next morning and I was off to Bangkok for an overnighter at the hostel there. I passed out at 8PM, ...

The flight by Thai Airways to BKK is at 2 pm and we're left with 2+ hours to laze around the airport. Thambu gets busy with friends in the kids lounge (they have a fairly neat one to pass the time available).

We reached Suvarnabhumi (Land of Gold) International Airport in ...

... until the countless neon lights are blaring and we struggled to pass the afternoon wandering around in stifling heat, before eventually settling down for a few hours on the crowded narrow beach waiting for the sun to drop and the city to roar into life. The majority of action is centred on Walking Street which - as the name suggests - is closed to vehicles after 8pm. Given the nature of most establishments on the road I was surprised by the number of ...
