... think Brisbane is bad, you haven't seen anything. There are HUGE projects undertaken everywhere and I'm sure it'll look beautiful when it's all finished. We strolled through the Mall, then past the Governor's House, towards the Swan River.

A particularly interesting building caught our attention. It was the Swan Bell Tower, a quite unique and impressive structure. We booked a tour and admired the view of the Swan River and Kings Park from the 6th floor ...

Our job as parents, I guess, is to make our kids not need us at a certain point, and watch them move on to live their own lives (where ever in the world that may take them). Thank goodness for wine and scotch to support our feelings during this conversation. Another memorable ...

... Monday we caught up with Izzie for an indulgent lunch at the Bathers Beach Café. What a great spot! It was wonderful to see Izzie and find out how her life is, in the West. She looked beautiful and seems to be doing very well with her studies, her moped, her share house and work here, although she does feel the distance from the east. We will see her next in Bega in early October at her sister Penelope’s wedding. Tony supported the local pharmacy in Freo and I ...
