    ... brand new 4X4 up the west coast from Perth to Broome. Our new wheels (a Suzuki Grand Ventura, AKA Suzy V) has features not even invented when poor Hydra first set out, such as automatic locks, cruise control, even a working radio and a GPS! Our backs and our sanity are also pretty happy to be sleeping in actual beds again. If Western Australia (WA) were its own country it would be the 10th largest in the world but yet only about 10%25 of Australians ...

    ... but I will try and get a photo from the web to upload. We also saw gold poured into a mould to make a 6.5kilo ingot. It was all very interesting and informative and well worth the visit. We then went into the town to have a wander round some of the shops. We were looking for a pair of wireless earphones for Uncle Henry, so that he could continue to watch television without any more complaints about the noise from the lady in the next room.     Today was a settling in day. Food. Organizing our stuff and laundry. Not the most exciting but has to be done. I went for a run in the early evening and got a sense of Kings Park. Much of it is dry at this time of the year. There are parks within the park meaning there are play areas all over, outdoor movies in one area and outdoor concerts in another. The south west side of the park has a great pathway where you go up and down while overlooking the river ...
