Sunday's morning welcomed us much warmly. It was not raining and also forecast was promising. As we were sick of Queenstown we hit the road and drove along Lake Wakatipu to Glenorchy and even further the road. At one point we crossed the river Jordan and got into Paradise in amazingly looking valley. We even went further "road", waded few more rivers and got into a nice fresh ...
... and scrubbing its **** off the surrounding mats. It was a little disturbing to say the least to be washing up next to a bowl of defrosting chicks and mice. They buy them in bulk to feed the mammals and reptiles but they were all moulded in funny shapes when they got frozen and they aren't allowed to be fed to the animals alive still. It really tainted the idyllic idea of little chicks I used to handle when I was little on the farm. But I guess they were only going to waste anyway. ...

The only thing keeping me going has been the many new foods I've tried since my arrival. Some of my favorites are chicken flavored potato chips, crumpets, and raspberry buns. In other news, hot tea and vegemite are still gross. I will check in later in the week with more pictures hopefully!
... we had a table overlooking the lake! We enjoyed a fabulous meal (local fish and chips and veggie pasta)!! We walked off our lunch by visiting Queenstown gardens, they have a 18 hole frisbee golf course in the gardens which is fab! We had a lovely walk around for an hour enjoying the beautiful gardens and the views of the lake before we checked out the musicians on a big stage in the town centre getting ready for tonight's Queenstown Winter Festival!
