Organized the house-sitter and then headed out for a short trip to North Carolina for a ballgame and a drive-in. Leaving with a certain amount of trepidation, since the weather forecast is not auspicious: 80% chance of rain at game time tonight in Hickory, ...

James Madison was the 4th U.S. president, the leading
framer of the constitution, author of the Federalist papers that advocated for
its passage, and the last of the Founding Fathers to die, someone with similar
intellect to Jefferson if not so broad in his range of interests. Madison’s
wife Dolly was also a celebrity and intellectual in her own right. Looking back

... so yummy!!! As the sun was setting I went into the woods to shoot the 22 calibre rifle- oh my gosh I am in love with it! It's such a cool gun! I also got to use the shotgun a bit too and the sound on that is amazing. The sound alone before shooting it is enough to scare off anyone. I think when I get home I'm gonna have to join a gun club! It was a good last day. Just sad that I have to leave so soon! Gonna miss the farm, the animals and everyone on it! Thanks for having me Brightwood Farm! ...

My first day as a farm girl. After one morning I've already learnt that you don't need to set an alarm for the mornings... The roosters do just fine at waking you up at 6am! We started work at 8am and began with feeding all the animals. There are a lot of animals on the farm! 3 donkeys, 1 cow, 4 dogs, 1 cat, sheep with their 12 lambs, 120 hens, 28 ducks, birds and 15 goats! It takes about an hour to get them all fed and have all the animal chores done. I have four lovely people who I ...
