cruise meals which can be very heavy causing us to be very heavy! Caldwell was
having the Caldwell Rodeo – 81st year but we weren’t able to get
tickets since everyone else had them! We rode by and found every car either
parked or driving around looking for a park. It must have been a really special
event for the area. Sorry to miss it!
Refreshed after our motel stay, we carried on down to City of Rocks on Thursday, September 11th. We've been here twice before, but even though the last time was eight years ago, it all felt very familiar. The scenery is amazing - granite domes and pinnacles in strange sculpted formations, rising out of high rolling desert.

One interesting experience was at a antique mall along the way. We had just pulled into the parking lot when another couple pulled in right beside us with almost the exact trailer. They were from Illinois and had been out to Glacier National Park.
Hopefully two more days and we'll be home. Time will tell.
