... to port with these guys when the sun decided to come out, which turned out to be Joels and mine downfall!! We went swimming out to some rocks leaving the girls to babysit the bags and sunbathe. Due to swimming for about an hour my shoulders went a very deep shade of red and while swimming back Joel decided to kick a rock leaving 4 very nasty cuts in his foot and a few days of limping to be had! ... the countryside. The coastal road is even more stunning. The jungle seems to encroach right up to the sea until it breaks to reveal postcard beaches at every turn. We must have planned at least 50 possible positions for a beach villa along a relatively short stretch of coastline. It is like Mozambique on steroids - super awesome!!

Our planned arrival in Paraty was after sunset and we were a bit concerned that we had to navigate a strange Brazilian town ...
