... a dor... hoje sou vermelho!!! Deixo-me cair violentamente sobre as rótulas, jogo as mãos ao alto, soltando um "Pooooooorquêêêê????" aos céus, e procurava eu ainda ouvir as respostas para tudo isto, quando o militar à porta me confisca o isqueiro e me manda seguir... "Adelante, adelante..."! Bom, o América ganhou, e pareceu-me ver o Paulo Bento... Mas foi um jogão, intenso, e com cada apoiante do AMérica que era uma maravilha! Adorei ver todas aquelas mulheres aos pulos a celebrar os ...
Manaus, Estado do Amazonas, Brazil kikinho... another boat.
As we approached the main section of the river on the lodge's boat, where the ferry boat would eventually pass, we were surprised to see a large river boat passing. It was early and had already passed the small town and Had we been only 5 minutes later, the boat would have
passed without us knowing. There was no time to transfer to a lancha.
The driver of our 25' long aluminum dingy headed directly to the beam of ...
... quite interesting. On our way back, we happened apon the tour agency we'd gone looking for, and so had a chat with one of the guides. We came back to the hostel, and cleaned ourselves up, and went in search of some food. I had a small, brazillian-style pizza from a local eatery, and Lareina ordered a chicken and vegetable dish from another restaurant. A much-need shower(several hours hiking in the equatorial sun), and some rest, and we're set.
Manaus, State of Amazonas, Brazil ryanflemington... wondrous miracles concealed in Amazonia life. The final event of our Amazon trip is one shrouded in mystery and suspicion; however, one of my fellow travelers swore he saw the culprit the next day swinging through the trees. See I couldn´t find my sunglasses on the last morning, even though I´m 99% positive I put them away in my sunglass holder as I always do as sunset falls. Yet one did see quite a stylish monkey escaping the scene at the crack of dawn ...
Manaus, State of Amazonas, Brazil barry0fisherOur journey from Fortaleza to Jericocoara shortened to Jeri by most of the residents and tourists, consited of 2 parts. We took a conventional bus from Fortaleza for about 4 hours, stopping by a roadside buffet eatery for lunch, then changing to a 4wd bus in Jijoca for the rough track which eventually disintergrated into just sand as the beach became our road. When we reached Jeri we saw that all the towns roads were sand and there were no ...
Jericoacoara, State of Ceara, Brazil jon-daniella... and down the beach at sunset in an elaborate advertising campaign designed to whet the tourists' appetite for equine glory. It worked with us and we found ourselves atop small but good natured mounts winding through the dunes at sunset one night. The dunes stretch on and on here and as you climb up them on horseback you feel like Lawrence of Arabia. The sunsets here are always red and pretty and were accentuated by our mode of transportation and the gentle ...
Jericoacoara, State of Ceara, Brazil jenandjeffmilum... We soon pulled into our new home for the next few days and saw that every road in the town is just sand! No tarmac, no stones, just sand.
As we got off the bus it was like Asia again as we were besieged by owners and agents of properties trying to secure our custom.
As usual the ...
... to applaud the sunset, as if it won´t happen again. Now onto the kite surfing, the best winds in Jeri are July to December, with January being fairly unpredictable as it proves, we only get sufficient wind on 2 of the 6 days. As chance would have it the Swiss girl, Iris, that we met in Morro not only turns up in Jeri, but books herself in with the same kite surfing school (there are around 10 here) and with an ...
Jericoacoara, Brazil cat6698... in the f***ng paper, which never seemed to end. Once, finally, in my room, I was going to charge my cellphone when I noticed it was missing! It had been STOLEN!! With all my music, my portuguese course, photos and videos!!! I was not happy. Totally the contrary.
It was still bright day but I went to sleep. It was the first thing I needed - to recharge my batteries. The taxi driver had taken me to a pharmacy on the way and helped me finding something against my ...
