Hey! I've not been able to post a often because the internet in Rio is generally awful and we have been busy!! I can fill you in the past few days worth of shena****ns. Let's start with Sugar Loaf Mountains. We walked down just 15 minutes to reach the base station for the climb up! We purchased our tickets and headed up. And what a top it was, we emerged from the forest onto a smooth rock face that has a panoramic view stretching from Christ the Redeemer to the north, the Atlantic Ocean to the east, and Leblon and sandy beaches as far as you can see to the south. ... I’ll admit a bit strenuous and mostly up hill. There was a slight reprieve as we crossed the beach but the entrance to the next part of the trail was literally straight up. After about 20 minutes of that though the trail more or less leveled out and it was more or less flat for the rest of the way.
